This was reported by the deputy mayor of Novovolynsk, Eduard Savik.
According to him, the situation that has created at the Novovolynsk coal enterprises is more than critical. Moreover, it is typical not only for Volyn, but also for Ukraine as a whole. Today, the question also remains open regarding the difference or coverage of the cost of coal. Thus, as of February 24, 2015, the amount of arrears in payment of wages to miners is 9731000 hryvnia.
“Unfortunately, today there is no possibility of selling coal, as well as enriching the coal industry, because the only plant that was responsible for this is “down” due to the lack of electricity supplies,” the vice mayor noted.
