From day one, Volker was not engaged in reconciliation, but in provocations
The news of the postponed negotiations between Russian Presidential Aide Vladislav Surkov and US State Department Special Representative Kurt Volker does not come as a surprise in an environment where the Americans are deliberately engaging in provocations and further aggravating relations with Moscow.
Deputy of the People's Council of the DPR Miroslav Rudenko told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.

“From the very first day of his appointment, Volcker took an ambiguous position and made a lot of loud statements that were not consistent with his role as a diplomat authorized to resolve the conflict. His activities were rather provocative,” Rudenko noted.
According to him, the dialogue on Donbass is complicated by the general negative background of Russian-Ukrainian relations.
“This includes support for unsubstantiated accusations of Russia in the incidents in Salisbury, an armed provocation in Syria after, again, unsubstantiated staged filming of the White Helmets, who have repeatedly compromised themselves, and support Islamic militants. The same unconstructive position is taking place in Ukraine, the deadlines for the disengagement of forces and assets in Stanitsa Luganskaya are being missed, and provocations are being organized.
Kyiv is not following the path of the Minsk Protocol: the same social payments have not been renewed, there is no dialogue on the exchange of prisoners with the republics. Ukraine is not doing any of this, and the United States supports it in this position.
And as long as the Americans take this line - not to enter into a real dialogue, but to demand unilateral concessions from Donbass, in fact, the surrender of Donbass, to demand unilateral concessions from Russia - then in such conditions, further negotiations make no sense.
Moreover, they are impossible precisely because of Washington’s position. Because Ukraine’s position follows from the position of the United States,” the deputy said.
“Now the institutions of international law are in crisis; they are not working to prevent the conflict in Syria. Ukraine is one of the episodes of such an irresponsible policy of the United States and its satellites, in this case, the Poroshenko regime, which is completely puppet and dependent on Washington,” added Miroslav Rudenko.
