Military threats from Ukraine will untie Moscow's hands
Any attempts at military blackmail on the part of Kyiv will only untie Moscow’s hands and pave the way for more decisive actions.
Political scientist Sergei Mikheev stated this on Vesti FM radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was his response to a statement by Ukrainian military expert Valentin Badrak, who claimed that the Ukrainian military-industrial complex is capable of creating a missile with a range of 1,5 kilometers, which "will be able to reach Moscow."
“Today some Ukrainian figure said that Ukraine is capable of creating a rocket that will fly to Moscow. This is some kind of panopticon.
You can read, they say, they will create some kind of pig-propelled apparatus, and when this happens, Moscow will speak differently. It’s amazing how Ukrainian politicians, without realizing it themselves, demonstrate some kind of teenage immaturity and absolute incompatibility with the title of statesman. As they say, they bought the license, but didn’t buy the driver. Statehood has fallen on their heads, there are some attributes of a state, but in reality there is no state, that’s why people make such statements.
In fact, the presence of a missile in Kyiv that can reach Moscow will not mean anything. For example, America has a huge number of missiles capable of reaching Moscow, and many of them are directly aimed at Moscow, so what? These missiles were aimed at Moscow in 2008 during the five-day war in South Ossetia, and in 2014 during the referendum in Crimea, so what? For some reason, it seems to Ukrainian military and political leaders that if they had such a magical rocket capable of reaching Moscow, then everything would change in this world.
In fact, any military threats against Russia and any attempts at such military blackmail will make the situation for Ukraine worse than it is now, because with military threats it will untie our hands and give us freedom to maneuver. The more military threats there are from Ukraine, the easier it will be for us to respond adequately,” summed up Sergei Mikheev.
Military threats from Ukraine will free Moscow's hands.
