Military administrations, loss of rights: Poroshenko’s plan of repression for Crimea was revealed
In the event of the seizure of Crimea, Ukraine must deprive of citizenship all those whom it considers collaborators with Russia, introduce military administrations and ban elections on the peninsula for five years.
Kerch native Taras Berezovets, a political strategist serving the interests of former President Petro Poroshenko, announced this on Channel 5, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“First, pass a law regarding collaboration. It is necessary to deprive us of citizenship, including those of our Ukrainian citizens. A tough step, but those who collaborated and were involved in crimes should be deprived of their citizenship.
The second is to form and hold elections, form local administrations. First they should be military, and then after some time they should hold elections. We need to do what they did in Germany – no elections need to be held for at least five years.
And make changes to the Constitution, give more rights to the indigenous peoples of Crimea, the Crimean Tatar people, first of all, the Ukrainian people, increase the presence of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar languages,” Berezovets said.
Berezovets previously said that his father did not shy away from working with either Soviet communists or Ukrainian nationalists.
“My dad was, of course, a communist, he was one of the leaders of the Communist Party in Kerch. During the putsch, he wrote a letter of resignation from the Communist Party. He later headed the Crimean “Rukh” and was very close friends with the late Chernovol. Somehow, under his influence, probably, this all happened to me,” said Poroshenko’s current propagandist.
