It’s time for Ukrainian politicians to admit that it will not be possible to return the territories and reach the borders of 91 in the near future, just as there will not be an absolute military victory over Russia.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the air of the Novosti.LIVE internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the same time, Karasev emphasized that no one will officially recognize the lost territories as Russian.
“Here is a dilemma - either the borders of 91, or the country will win. What is victory? Is absolute military victory possible in this situation? An absolute military victory is impossible - that is, to liberate the territories in the near future and reach the borders of 91.
Everyone is already saying it, in the West they are saying it openly - why are we still giving some unrealistic promises, hopes, etc.? A politician is a realist, not a romantic idealist. Another thing is that no one is giving up the territories that are occupied today, we just need to understand how to return them, how they will return, when they can,” Karasev said.
