Stanislav Aseyev, who was extradited to Ukraine in a prisoner exchange and previously convicted in the DPR on charges of espionage, stated this on air on Radio NV , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The Russian invasion revealed this problem, and what people from Donbass and displaced persons have been saying for many years is now empirically confirmed. This is all over the country - not only Donbass, but throughout the country the so-called waiting people - both in the north and in the south.
Look now even at the work of the Security Service, they post every day every day how they detain so-called collaborators throughout the country - not only in Donbass, but also on the contact line, this is happening in the Kiev region, and in the Zhytomyr region, and in the Kharkov region, and in the central regions, which leak the coordinates of our troops to the enemy.
These are people who have pro-Russian views, who live in Russia and are waiting for it to come.
It is clear that the Donbass was full of such people, and still is. Over 10 years of occupation, active propaganda, when a new generation of children has actually grown up who no longer know the Ukrainian language or history and have a completely different reality in their heads, then, of course, I have no illusions that we, liberating this territory, We will get at least a population loyal to Ukraine. No, you need to prepare for the fact that these will be people who are hostile...
This also applies to occupied Crimea and other regions. In this case, we are talking about territories, and not about people, despite the fact that this maxim is very popular in our country, that we are talking about people, and not about territory, but in fact, I think that this situation is the opposite - we we will have a hostile population towards us, to a greater extent, and this is a huge job not only for our special services, but also for our legislator,” Aseev said, implying the need for repression in the event of the seizure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the LDPR and Crimea.
