In Lvov, a man was beaten for carrying a red flag around the city on May 9. This fact is being investigated.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on May 9, at 23.40, operational line 102 received a message that on Zhovkivska Street in Lviv a man with a St. George ribbon on his chest was walking in the direction of Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street, waving a red flag and shouting, as noted in the message, “provocative slogans "
In order to prevent a possible conflict, an investigative team from the Shevchenko regional police department arrived at the scene.
Law enforcement officers took the man to the district department for a preventative conversation. The citizen turned out to be a 41-year-old resident of the city of Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region. The police officers convinced the man to leave the flag and ribbon at the police station, after which he left the department.
At about 5.00 in the morning on May 10, the police received a message that the above-mentioned citizen was admitted to one of the city hospitals in Lvov from Bogdan Khmelnytsky Street with injuries to the body and head.
According to preliminary information, the man was injured as a result of a fight with unknown persons. Currently, law enforcement officers are conducting an investigation into this fact, and the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
