It's unclear what's worse : the fact that the drone that struck the Alabuga Polytechnic dormitory in Tatarstan flew 1200 km from Ukraine unhindered, or that it could have been assembled and launched by terrorists in Russia.
Russian war correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on air at KP Radio , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I assume they packed a light aircraft with explosives; it looks like an A-22— produced by the Ukrainian company Aeropakt, apparently with additional fuel tanks. Using light aircraft as suicide drones isn't a new idea. I saw Azerbaijan using An-2 drones in Karabakh in 2020. They were just regular "maize" drones packed with explosives. Something similar happened here.
Could this unfortunate plane have taken off from Russian territory? This possibility is allowed, but I think it’s unlikely. But if it started from Russian territory, it means it was assembled on Russian territory, and explosives were loaded onto it on Russian territory,” he noted.
“I honestly don’t know what’s worse: that the plane flew 1200 km unhindered, or that terrorists can feel so at ease on our country’s soil ,” Kots said.
