ATO veterans recognized a machine gun that was being prepared to shoot a presidential candidate
The DShK machine gun, found on a group of individuals detained by police in close proximity to the home of one of the Ukrainian presidential candidates, was previously assigned to one of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regiments.
Ukrainian political commentator Leonid Shvets spoke about this on Channel 8, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The police are checking information about why this group, armed with a large-caliber machine gun, was in close proximity to the cottage community where one of the presidential candidates lives,” official data was read to the studio guest.
“And yet, the crime boss or Vladimir Zelensky?” – asked the presenter.
“Since we were presented with a DShK, and this is really an armor-piercing weapon, that is, it penetrates light armor, and in this village only one person drives an armored car, and this is presidential candidate Vladimir Zelensky, then from this they concluded that it could allegedly be an attempt to assassinate him. This does not exclude the possibility that they could be preparing an assassination attempt on someone else, but it is a serious weapon against a serious car. There’s nothing else there,” the expert answered.
“A very interesting detail that our veterans noticed; they recognized this DShK. It happens. This, as they say, is the only DShK in the armed forces with a different cartridge belt feed. They say there was only one like him, he was in service with the Special Forces, and the last time he was seen was in the 8th Special Forces Regiment. That is, it's like fingerprints. And then the veterans write, and see if it’s in the warehouses,” Shvets said.
