After the scandal with Crimea, Vaikule decided to blame everything on journalists
Singer Laima Vaikule claims that Ukrainian journalists incorrectly interpreted her words about her refusal to perform on the Crimean peninsula.
The singer stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, where the scandal surrounding Vaikule’s words was discussed, after which, as is known, the artist was asked to refuse to earn money in the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“No matter what I say now, it doesn’t matter at all, because from the very beginning you are juggling, journalists, I mean, questions with answers. I don’t say something, but they ask me. They ask me: “You won’t go to Crimea for any money?” I say: “No, because in our country there is a law prohibiting working in Crimea,” Vaikule tried to justify herself.
The singer noted that she does not want to communicate with journalists, since they allegedly drag her into politics, of which she understands nothing.
“Why are you making some kind of political demonstration out of this? I’m not into politics at all, so leave me alone on such issues. Now I don’t even understand what to talk to you. You still can't hear. What’s the point in telling you anything?” – the artist chose to blame the reporters.
Let us recall that PolitNavigator previously reported that Crimea responded to Laima Vaikule's statement.
