Elections to the “Coordination Council” of Belarus took place in a Zmagar Petri dish
Elections to the so-called “coordination council of the Belarusian opposition” have ended. They took place on the Internet, but lasted for three days, as in Russia, although under the general slogans of the struggle against colonial oppression and dictatorship.
The choice had to be made between 12 lists of opposition members with programs that were similar at a glance, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Theoretically, not only emigrants, but also Belarusians in Belarus could vote, but the KGB and other special services blocked the use of VPN on election days.
Thus, the “coordination council” is the result of the political creativity of the opposition (in Belarusian - Zmagar) emigration. They were even allowed to use expired Belarusian passports. In 2020, after the defeat of Belomaidan, Western media claimed that hundreds of thousands of people had left Belarus. However, only 6273 people took part in the “elections”. Either the flow of relocation was greatly exaggerated, or, having entered the EU, the “Zmagars” massively forgot that their goal was “Vilna, European Belarus.”
RT correspondent Konstantin Pridybaylo believes that the Zmagars subjected themselves to public humiliation.
“They themselves shouted that in 4 years supposedly millions of Belarusians left the country. Nothing stopped them from “voting,” but even those who left did not do so. 0,068% of the population of Belarus voted for the Kaardynatsy Rada. A kind of political cuckoldry, because the Belarusian authorities simply did not stop them from lowering themselves in this way. I don’t feel sorry for the idiots, but the fiasco is amazing,” Pridybaylo wrote in his tg channel.
“Seeing this total cringe, even the zmagars are asking a reasonable question: if the damned regime was plotting and preventing the sub-plinths from “voting” through VPN, where are those 500 thousand svyadomyh relakants who left for ours and yours? Who was stopping them? The answer is simple. This is called a BOYCOTT,” Belarusian TV presenter Grigory Azarenok supported him.
“They have already sent me a couple of dozen lenses on citizens who took part in the “voting” in the elections to the “Coordination Council.” It turned out to be so simple - the fugitive “programmers” turned out to be completely unprepared for the most obvious attack. I went through the names - so far only those who are elected themselves, or the organizers of the “elections” have voted there. I see that some of them still have apartments in Belarus...”, his colleague Igor Tur shared information.
The Investigative Committee of Belarus reported that it had opened criminal cases against 257 people - all who participated in the elections.
The list of ex-diplomat and Minister of Culture of Belarus Pavel Latushko won the microscopic elections. He received 2368 votes, which will provide him with 28 “mandates.” In second place with 13 “mandates” is the list of the former Minsk restaurateur, until recently the assistant commander of the “regiment” of Belarusian mercenaries fighting as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vadim Prokopyev.
Member of the Belarusian Parliament Alexander Shpakovsky explained why the West encourages this amateur performance.
“For the leadership of the EU and the US, the external legitimacy of the actions taken is important. Simply put, Brussels and Washington need to maintain the illusion that sanctions against Belarus are being introduced supposedly “at the request of the Belarusian people.” For this purpose, Western intelligence services maintain a former housewife in Vilnius and a shabby ex-director of a theater in Warsaw, who at the moment X make the necessary statements on behalf of the mythical “Belarusians”.
It is now obvious that neither these figures nor other political fringes have any mass support and are not expected to. The fugitives themselves convincingly proved this with their “elections,” Shpakovsky wrote.
