A well-known Moscow priest, Father Vladimir Vigilyansky, rector of the Church of the Holy Martyr Tatiana at Moscow State University, wrote about this on his social media page , telling the story of his friend, a priest from Ukraine.

“One of my good friends and a patriot of Ukraine I respect, a father of six children, from Zaporozhye received a summons from the military registration and enlistment office today.

It is a tragedy for any person to be mobilized for a fratricidal war. But there is a special circumstance here - he is an archpriest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church,” writes Father Vladimir.

According to him, the summons - this small piece of paper - becomes an indictment document of the government that brought the country to mass self-destruction.

“I wonder if subpoenas are being sent to clergy from the Uniate Church and filaret schismatics who supported the Gidnost revolution, the coup d’état and the civil war in Ukraine? I'm sure not. This means that this is a purposeful action against the largest Church in the country,” says the Moscow priest.

Father Vladimir Vigilyansky also draws attention to the fact that the current government is deliberately making the priests of the UOC “criminals” and “deviators.”

“And one more small detail - the priest has already committed a crime against the state: he should have appeared at the military registration and enlistment office a week ago, that is, he is already a draft dodger and a deserter,” he writes.

Father Vladimir Vigilyansky publishes a photo of the summons that his friend, a priest from Zaporozhye, received.
