Simferopol, June 07 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin) – The VIII International Social and Political Forum “Interaction-2014” began its work in Livadia (Greater Yalta), the Navigator correspondent reports.

Opening the event, Chairman of the State Council of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov touched upon the topic of confrontation in the South-East of Ukraine, noting that the military actions that are taking place there “concern not only Novorossiya, but also the entire Russian world.”
“Not everyone is as lucky as us. Residents of Novorossiya are our recent fellow citizens, people with whom we have been fighting for our project of Ukraine for more than two decades. Within the framework of this project, the state was to be based on friendship and brotherhood of the East Slavic and other peoples inhabiting Ukraine in allied relations with Russia. It was a project to build a state on principles that were close and understandable to the majority of the population of Ukraine. In essence, it was about a project to build a civil nation, similar to those that now make up Europe and North America. But architects from “independent” Ukraine responded to this with two Maidans, in which they cynically trampled on the people’s choice,” noted Vladimir Konstantinov.
