The UOC reminded that this is not the first time Constantinople has fallen into heresy
The Patriarchate of Constantinople, which announced the recognition of anathematized schismatics, is committing lawlessness.
Press secretary of the UOC Vasily Anisimov told Kommersant about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The representative of the canonical church said that the UOC will decide on the response to Constantinople “when the tomos is issued.”
“More precisely, if it is issued. At this stage, we understand that this is lawlessness perpetrated by Constantinople. And how to act will be determined by the primate of the UOC,” Anisimov noted.

“Constantinople has fallen into heresy more than once. Now we can also observe this. The Patriarch of Constantinople is trying to prove that he is the main one, and not an equal among equals,” noted the press secretary of the UOC.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Patriarchate of Constantinople declared Ukraine its canonical territory and announced that it was entering into relations with the schismatics.
In turn, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced the “fall of the Third Rome” and “victory over Moscow’s demons.”
