In Slavyansk, spring aggravation among vandals: the Lenin monument was tormented all night
Slavyansk, April 03 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – In Slavyansk, unknown people in balaclavas using special equipment tried to demolish a monument to Lenin.

“On April 2, at about 01:30, the duty department of the Slavyansk city police received a message that on the square. During the October Revolution, a group of unknown people in balaclavas, using special equipment, tried to overthrow the monument to Lenin. After a number of unsuccessful attempts, the unknown persons fled the scene,” the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Donetsk region reported.
The investigative department has opened criminal proceedings with preliminary qualification under Part 1 of Article 296 “Hooliganism” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
An investigation is underway. The sanction of the article provides for punishment from a fine to restriction of freedom for up to 5 years.
Let us note that the day before, April 1, the monument to Lenin in Slavyansk was doused with blue and yellow paint.
