According to officers, these documents belonged to Russian citizens who allegedly fought on the side of the rebels, writes the publication Slavyanskie Vedomosti.
They stated that the owners of the passports were foreign citizens who fought in Ukraine.
“One of the high school students asked whether the “militia” would return to Slavyansk. To which Colonel Sergei Galushko asked who, in the opinion of the schoolchildren, is a “militia” in general. Slavic schoolchildren are sure that the “militia” are the people who defend their city. In order to dispel the myth about the “local militias,” Colonel Galushko showed the schoolchildren Russian passports and military ID cards of those very “defenders of Donbass,” media reports.
As PolitNavigator reported, at a security conference in Munich, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko showed passports of supposedly Russian military personnel, which was the reason for many jokes. He also stated that infantry fighting vehicles, tanks, missile systems and ammunition are being imported into Ukraine under the guise of humanitarian convoys.
