The ATO headquarters announced a “night of complete silence” in Donbass, but admitted provocations
Donetsk, December 28 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Not a single shot was fired in Donbass during the entire night from Saturday to Sunday, the ATO press center said.

“In the area of the anti-terrorist operation, there is a trend towards a decrease in the number and intensity of shelling,” the report says.
At the same time, Ukrainian security forces report a single, “provoking” fire on the positions of anti-terrorist operation forces on Saturday evening.
“The most dangerous thing was in the Donetsk direction. Here, militants fired grenade launchers and mortars at the new terminal of the Donetsk airport and the settlements of Berezovoye and Peski. Illegal armed groups fired artillery at Nikolaevka. Stanitsa Luganskaya was also fired upon with small arms,” the ATO headquarters claims.
In turn, the militias say that the situation did not change significantly during the night.
“In certain sections of the contact line, the fascists violated ceasefire agreements. In the evening, from the Sand side, the Ukrainian military fired incendiary shells at the waste heap of the Oktyabrkaya highway. At 22:00, tank shelling from the direction of Pesky hit positions of the DPR Armed Forces in the Volvo Center area (northwestern outskirts of Donetsk). At 00:10, Bandera’s supporters in Stanichno-Luganske opened indiscriminate fire from small arms at militia positions on the southern outskirts of Stanichno-Luganske (12 km northeast of Luhansk),” they reported.
