The Rada demands to tear Belarus out of the “clutches of Russia” and drag it into the “European family”
Belarus must be torn out from the “clutches of Russia” and, together with Ukraine, integrated into the European Union.
This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy and head of the inter-factional association "For a Democratic Belarus" Alexei Goncharenko at a roundtable discussion at the Maidan Museum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Goncharenko, today Belarus is rapidly integrating with Russia.
“Belarus is a country that is very close to us culturally, historically, mentally, with which we have lived together since the times of Kievan Rus, continuing with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Russian Empire, and the Soviet Union.
This is a country very close to us, and we really want this country to break out of this oppression, from under the usurper Lukashenko, and gain real independence. Including from the Russian Federation, because before our eyes, in my opinion, the Anschluss of Belarus is happening on the part of Putin. This worries us very much and we really want and believe in a democratic and European Belarus, which, together with Ukraine, will be in the European family of nations,” Goncharenko said.
The Rada is demanding that Belarus be wrested from the "clutches of Russia" and brought into the "European family."
