The politician had to make his statement surrounded by MPs from Oleh Lyashko's Radical Party, who blocked the presidium of the Ukrainian parliament, and after Igor Mosiychuk announced that a forceful unblocking was being prepared.
“I want to say to my colleagues, friends and brothers in this room who have taken different positions regarding changes to the Constitution,” Parubiy said. – And there is no one who can know the ultimate truth, because the history of such conflicts had different resolutions. But there is a truth that everyone here will agree with. In the hall there are brothers who stood together on the Maidan, who stood together in the ATO. And I am sure that the level of responsibility that we have before us is high enough to prevent confrontation between the people who changed our country shoulder to shoulder. We will not give consolation to the criminals from the Opposition bloc, nor to Putin to see the confrontation here.”
At the same time, the vice speaker said that the meeting would continue at 12-00.
