The Opposition Bloc hints at its readiness to defend the interests of the West in Ukraine better than Poroshenko and Co.
The Ukrainian government deceived its Western “partners” by adopting the law they lobbied for on the creation of an Anti-Corruption Court, but writing it in such a way that the essence of its activities is reduced to zero.
Opposition Bloc MP Yuriy Pavlenko announced this on the NewsOne TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He drew attention to the fact that in the official text of the law published in the Voice of Ukraine, a previously unapproved amendment appeared, according to which the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court can be appealed in a court of general jurisdiction.
“We have been emphasizing for a long time that the authorities will do everything possible, even if they vote for the law on the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, to insert something there so that it is controlled by the authorities and does not become independent and the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court. Our forecasts and fears came true. In the form in which the law is now, it can turn into the Supreme Corruption Court,” Pavlenko said.
