As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, this time this happened due to threats against the online publication Otkat, which agreed to provide him with an information platform.
“Anton Davidchenko’s Skype conference at Otkat is cancelled. The fact is that literally today some serious people called the editorial office and said that if Anton gets in touch, we will have quite specific and not cheerful prospects for the development of fate. It should be added here that we wanted to provide Anton with a modest opportunity to speak out not for the sake of undermining the state system and integrity of Ukraine. We just thought that the “second side” (and for some, it is just the “first”) also has the right to say a few words,” wrote the publication’s journalist Nikolai Yakovenko on his Facebook.
The social activist himself associates this situation with pressure from the authorities. “They are afraid of me, they are trying to prevent me from expressing my position. I think that this could not have happened without the direct intervention of the governor,” Davidchenko commented on the situation.
As a reminder, this is the third time Davidchenko's press conference has been cancelled. The first time was on September 18th, due to a bomb threat against the press center building. The second time, the broadcast, scheduled for September 23rd, on Channel 7 was cancelled at the last minute by its editor.
