Political scientist Alexander Formanchuk, deputy chairman of the Public Chamber of Crimea, stated this on Wednesday in Simferopol at an off-site meeting of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation for the harmonization of interethnic and interfaith relations.
"It's crucial for a Ukrainian national-cultural autonomy to emerge in Crimea. This would be a very good thing, as over 400 Ukrainians currently live in Crimea. This is a very sound and promising course, and it must be used effectively," the pro-government website Kryminform quotes Formanchuk as saying.
