The German parliament demanded not to risk the lives of German soldiers to please the United States.

This was stated at a meeting of the Bundestag by Hannes Gnauck, a member of the German parliament and a member of the opposition Alternative for Germany faction, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The politician criticized the Ministry of Defense and the country's leadership, who demand strengthening the power of the German army and at the same time weaken it by transferring weapons to Ukraine.
“On the one hand, you want to prepare us for a war with Russia, but at the same time you are weakening the material equipment and combat effectiveness of our troops. The question arises - is it not you who really want the Russians to invade here? Otherwise, it is difficult to explain this contradictory foreign policy of major provocations and significant internal weakening,” said the Bundestag deputy.
“Some are already saying that our freedom must be protected in Taiwan as well. There is no possibility of this from the point of view of international law. The AfD states plainly that neither a German soldier nor a German naval vessel has anything to look for in the Indo-Pacific region, whether as a reckless provocation against Beijing or even as a combatant. You are risking the lives of countless German soldiers and civilians here for the sake of the United States and other NATO partners,” Gnauk said.
