Belarus shouldn't count on a new gas discount , as anticipated by President Alexander Lukashenko. He stated yesterday that he would like to see the price reduced from $127 to $70 per thousand cubic meters. According to energy market expert Boris Martsinkevich, Lukashenko's statements are unfounded; no European country offers such prices, and Gazprom will not make any concessions to Belarus.

“Gazprom’s only official statement on this matter is that it expects that this year the price of exports to Europe, according to its calculations, will be about $130-140.
