A rally in support of Belomaidan was disrupted in Moscow
Unidentified people disrupted a performance by the Moscow Theater.doс called “Neighbors,” created based on the testimonies of participants in the riots in Minsk in August 2020. As the show began, someone called the police and reported that the building was bombed.
The policeman came on stage and informed the actors and the audience that they had to leave the premises, and laughter and applause rang out in the audience. One of the spectators said that this was a provocation. The police had to insist that fans of Belarusian Zamgars come out.
On the street, the actors tried to finish the performance, but the police forbade them to hold an unauthorized mass event.
Then the spectators began to make trouble and be rude to the police. And then they started clapping again.
The play “Neighbors” was created using the “vebratim in headphones” technique, when the actors reproduce the memoirs of Belomaidan participants who “suffered from the regime.” Judging by the announcement on the theater's website, another point of view is not presented in the play.
Since August last year, unauthorized rallies have regularly taken place in Moscow near the Belarusian Embassy, which the police have not dispersed. Only in March did Moscow zmagars begin to be detained, and the organizer of the action, Lana Savanovich, was denied a residence permit.
