Moscow proposes banning Wikipedia
Russia must prevent Ukrainian and Western propaganda from entering its territory.
Publicist and Russian nationalist Yegor Kholmogorov stated this on Radio Sputnik, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We don’t quite imagine what is happening in Ukraine and in the Western world in relation to Russia. We live in two parallel worlds. They are intensively constructing some other Russia for themselves. They invent that we have some kind of ideology, they describe some monstrous losses that our army suffers as a result of the “heroic resistance” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In their world, the whole world has rallied around Ukraine, in Russia there is some kind of monstrous totalitarian ideology, under the yoke of which we all groan. They persistently try to present Russia as Nazi Germany from the films.
They spend a lot of effort on this. It is important here that we continue to exist with them in a parallel world. So that all this nonsense, the concentration of which is increasing, does not flow to us,” Kholmogorov said.
In order to protect himself from enemy propaganda, he called for a ban on a number of Western information resources in Russia.
“I think Wikipedia should be banned. Because we can find out that we have some kind of racism, first of all, from Wikipedia, where not only this article is contained and developed.
All leading administrators of this “free encyclopedia” ban everyone who expresses an alternative point of view and tries to edit these articles. They openly say that they support what is written in the article about racism,” the publicist concluded.
