Moscow – Kyiv, January 28 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The Verkhovna Rada’s statement that Russia is an “aggressor country” towards Ukraine is evidence that the current authorities in Kiev are under the complete control of the United States, said the Speaker of the Council Federation of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.

“While the Ukrainian authorities travel around the world with an outstretched hand and unsuccessfully beg for money, Russia provides specific economic assistance in the form of a loan and supplies gas, electricity, and coal on preferential terms. And this is the aggressor country?” - she said.
According to Matvienko, “Ukraine has become a tool for the United States and the West in resolving their geopolitical interests and restraining the development of Russia.”
The speaker of the Federation Council emphasized that “the Kyiv authorities are interested in maintaining tension” in order to distract the population from economic breakdowns with the help of war. At the same time, Matvienko expressed surprise why “enlightened Europe” does not notice “Nazi torchlight processions” in the center of Kyiv, “persecution of the free press,” “repression of the undesirable,” murders in Odessa and Donbass.
