Mariupol, May 03 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Mariupol, Ukrainian security forces began storming the city council occupied by supporters of the “Donetsk People’s Republic”.

According to information from social media users, National Guard soldiers are taking part in the operation. Eyewitnesses report machine gun fire being heard in the city center.
Roadblocks, tires and cars are also burning on the streets. Whether they were set on fire by the militia to delay the advance of the security forces, or by the security forces themselves, is not yet known for certain.
Let us remind you that today local media published information that military equipment was spotted on the outskirts of Mariupol. It was suggested that the security forces would attempt to storm the City Council, occupied by DPR supporters.
