Mariupol, May 13 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Mariupol, representatives of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” cleared the roadway from barricades. Public transport and educational institutions are operating again in the city.

Traffic in the city center - on Lenin Avenue and Metalurgov Avenue - has been restored. The portal “0629” reports this, citing eyewitnesses. Earlier, city mayor Yuri Hotlubey stated that he was negotiating with representatives of the DPR on this matter.
According to the publication, mass looting has stopped in Mariupol. Numerous teams of metallurgists took to the streets of the city to maintain public order. Large enterprises have declared their readiness to supply even traffic police squads with gasoline.
At the same time, most of the employees of the Mariupol city police department now work in the Ilyichevsk regional department.
According to the head of the Mariupol Main Police Department Oleg Morgun, the police intend to return to the city department building in the future, and maybe build a new one locally.
“Now we will contact the city leadership and city-forming enterprises about the possibility of restoring the building. Because half of the building, I think, has survived; it needs to be put in order and worked on. As for the second part, which was badly damaged, now technicians will see how much it can be restored. If not, then we will demolish it to the ground and build a new one,” Morgun said.
In the meantime, explosives experts are working in and around the building. A stuck RPG grenade launcher shell was found in a tree near the city police department.
As Navigator reported, during the force operation in the Mariupol city department on May 9, more than 40 people were injured.
