This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Kiev-controlled part of the former Donetsk region.

As investigators established, the deceased turned out to be a policeman from the “Grifon” security service at the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Lvov region, born in 1975. On August 2 of this year, he arrived in the Donetsk region to participate in the so-called “anti-terrorist operation.” His service weapon was found next to the policeman’s body, from which the shot was most likely fired.

Currently, data on this fact are included in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations with preliminary qualification under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (premeditated murder).
