Simferopol, October 29 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) - A serious scandal broke out in Koreiz (Greater Yalta) over the construction of a four-story building in an area overlooking the sea.

According to journalists, the Maydanyuk family filed a complaint about the raider seizure of part of their plot and common area by a private developer.
“My house is now impossible to build - it is undermined, and my territory is occupied. They captured part of the land up to the road. Now it will be impossible to expand it or carry out communications,” complains Olga Maydanyuk.
Her husband, Leonid, adds that the attempt to defend their land ended in a fight and damage to property: “When we arrived here and saw cars, equipment and unknown people, I tried to photograph them, for which they broke the camera and hit me.”
However, the owner of the site where construction is taking place, Gennady Bochkarev, assures that he is building the house strictly in accordance with the law.
“Knowing what kind of neighbors I have and how they threaten me, I collected twice as many documents for the development of the site and construction. We went through all the examinations, gave all the documents to the police and the prosecutor's office, so that everyone knew that we were building legally. Since I was allegedly blocking their view of the sea, they said: “You must buy our site, otherwise we won’t let you build,” the developer shares.
At the same time, the Yalta town planning department confirms that documents for construction have indeed been issued, but they cannot check how it is progressing and whether the boundaries of the site are respected.
“The developer was given urban planning conditions for construction, but we have no authority to control further. These are the functions of GASK. We sent them a letter asking them to check for compliance and stop construction until the circumstances are clarified,” says the chief architect of Yalta, Vladimir Pristupa.
