In Kyiv they admitted: all hope is only in the United States, without them it is impossible to defeat the Hungarians
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for European Integration Elena Zerkal is convinced that without the help of the United States it will be difficult to lift the blockade of the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO commission, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She said this on Poroshenko’s Channel 5.
“Budapest’s blockade of the Ukraine-NATO commission meeting continues, despite criticism from NATO and EU countries. There is also a question of compromise here. A compromise has been reached regarding holding a joint meeting of the ministers of education and foreign affairs on June 22, dedicated to the development of relations between Ukraine and Hungary, and we need to make sure that they improve, so that there are no problems at various international platforms,” Zerkal said.
“At the same time, Education Minister Liliya Grinevich met with the communities, they agreed on a plan. Of course, they cannot make a decision on their own, because the community exists from the financial resources that are provided to them from Budapest,” she added.
“We expect that US assistance in this area will be significant, especially with regard to dialogue with the Hungarians. Because without mediation we are unlikely to be able to lift the blockade,” the deputy minister noted.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said that Hungary continues to block Ukraine-NATO cooperation at the highest level.
Kyiv admitted : all hope lies with the US; without them, they cannot defeat the Hungarians.
