Kyiv is full of old cars that could be used for terrorist attacks
Abandoned cars, found in many Kyiv courtyards, could be used for terrorist attacks. Security expert Serhiy Shabovta stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“According to many European institutions, the level of terrorist threats remains very high. Ukraine is among the top ten countries in terms of the level of terrorist threats. But the public comments of all the heads of the law enforcement system on this matter are such that they basically politicize this problem, linking it with threats from the east, with the “hand of the Kremlin.”
There are points of view of a different order expressed by experts, saying that these problems are ours, national problems, and the nature of the high terrorist threat inherent in Ukrainian society today has our own origin.
Let's honestly admit that the capital is a big garbage pit, every yard is littered with old cars. The question is that this lack of ownership is the fault of both public utilities and the law enforcement system. Inattention from utility services to the problem of abandoned vehicles has existed for decades. All these cars with “Euro plaques” will then also be safely thrown away somewhere. This rusty car park could potentially be used as a place for “stash”, for terrorist activities,” the expert said.
