In the Khmelnitsky region, on May 27 at 06:40, it became known that two moving trains collided within the Negin railway station of the South-Western Railway. At least six people were injured as a result of the incident.

As rescuers found out, during maneuvering, passenger train No. 139 on the Kyiv-Kamenets-Podolsky route, consisting of 15 cars, and a freight train with 17 cars of crushed stone collided.
“As a result of the collision, a locomotive and 2 freight cars with rubble overturned, and a locomotive and a passenger car derailed. There were 541 people on the passenger train, and as a result of the accident, 6 people were injured, of which 4 were children (suffered minor injuries, bruises and abrasions),” the report says.
A mobile task force, 11 rescuers using 3 units of special equipment, worked at the scene of the event.
It was noted that the victims were evacuated from the damaged carriage and handed over to emergency doctors for emergency care.
In addition, according to the State Emergency Service, the evacuation of the remaining passengers into a convoy of buses was organized for their subsequent delivery to their destination: as of 8:30, the evacuation of passengers was completed.
