The State Duma routinely criticizes the West for deception, which Minsk critics have been warning about for 8 years
The West must answer for its crimes committed against Ukraine.
Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced this today in the Russian State Duma, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The deceitful policies of Western states have led to the current situation in Ukraine. Merkel's recent cynical admission revealed their true plans. As it turned out, none of them planned to implement the Minsk agreements. They were just a screen behind which Ukraine was being pumped with weapons and preparing for an attack on Donbass and Crimea.
Washington and Brussels are responsible for thousands of dead elderly people, women, children, destroyed cities and villages, infrastructure and the economy. This is not just a deception, this is a crime for which they must answer,” Volodin said.
He believes that the West was preparing the fate of Ukraine for Russia.
“Ukraine literally 30 years after the collapse of the USSR turned into a geographical name. History has been rewritten, memory betrayed, faith trampled, culture destroyed, the language of the majority of the population is banned, spiritual and moral values are destroyed. As a result, the country did not exist. Many European states are, in fact, colonies of the United States today, because they have abandoned their values and historical memory.
Washington prepared the same fate for our country, but these plans failed. Our Motherland has a different path. It is based on the principles of respect for one’s history, respect for culture and preservation of traditions,” Volodin said.
At the end of his speech, he expressed gratitude to the Russian soldiers for their feat.
“Together we will win. Russia is behind us. We have one party – our country,” Volodin said.
The deputies responded with a standing ovation.
