The first meeting of the Unified Economic Council took place in Donbass, at which important decisions were made to create a single economic space between the DPR and LPR.
The head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin wrote about this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During the meeting, a Unified Economic Commission was established, whose task will be to ensure the working conditions and development of a single customs territory, as well as to develop proposals in the field of economic integration.
In addition, the General Customs Tariff of the Single Customs Territory was adopted.
“Thus, the DPR and LPR laid the legal basis for a single economic and customs space,” Pushilin explained.
He added that the next goal of the leadership of the republics will be to accelerate the synchronization of the legislation of the republics.
“In the near future, the Unified Economic Commission and the People's Councils of the two countries will focus on identifying and eliminating inconsistencies that impede the unification of legislation.
At this time, we are considering introducing a moratorium on control and supervisory inspections of business entities, which will restructure their work taking into account the capabilities of the two Republics.

He explained that this state of affairs will cause competition, which will help improve the quality of goods and improve the well-being of Donbass residents.
