Yulia Tymoshenko’s statement that President Petro Poroshenko is negotiating with the heads of the DPR and LPR on the transfer of territories controlled by Ukraine to the republics is a fiction.
This was stated by the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I have also spoken repeatedly about the fact that Poroshenko can provoke the resumption of full-scale hostilities in order to introduce martial law and cancel the elections.
However, otherwise we have to admit that Yulia Tymoshenko has a rich imagination. Poroshenko and the Kiev authorities in general did not make contact with us, either overtly or covertly. Direct dialogue between us and Kiev is a matter of the future, inevitable, but of the future. And this will be a dialogue not about the beginning, but about the end of the war and the future principles of peaceful coexistence.
As for a war in the near future to disrupt elections in Ukraine, it is immediately clear that Tymoshenko does not understand anything about war. In order to start it, Poroshenko does not need any negotiations with us. He will simply give the order either to attack or to carry out a major provocation,” said the head of the DPR.
