In the center of Donetsk - a powerful explosion, five injured
Today, October 26, at about 16:30, a powerful explosion was heard in the center of Donetsk, as a result of which five people were injured. According to the preliminary version, the cause of the emergency was a domestic gas explosion. More than 60 employees of the DPR Ministry of Emergency Situations are working at the scene.

This information was reported to the PolitNavigator correspondent by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR, Alexei Kostrubitsky.
“At 16:33, the first report of an explosion was received at the address: Komsomolskaya Street, 84. According to preliminary information, there were two victims in the apartments. The Ministry of Emergency Situations pulled them out from under the rubble and handed them over to the ambulance. There was a collapse of the ceilings between the second and third floors and between the first and second. At the moment, 64 personnel are involved in the work,” the minister said.
He noted that heating centers are already being set up for the population.
Alexey Kostrubitsky said that it is too early to talk about the condition of the victims, and the Ministry of Health will comment on it.
“The preliminary cause of the explosion has not yet been established. Criminologists are working and will soon provide accurate information.
At the moment, reconnaissance has been carried out, and no victims were found under the rubble in this area. As mentioned earlier, the Ministry of Health will provide information about the condition of all victims.
Further work is underway to eliminate this emergency situation,” summed up the head of the DPR Ministry of Emergency Situations.
