A pharisaical performance with the participation of Georgian deputies is planned in Bucha
The main intrigue of the last week of Georgian politics was the upcoming trip of the parliamentary delegation to Ukraine.
A week ago, having received an invitation to visit Bucha, the head of the Georgian parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, criticized his Ukrainian colleague Ruslan Stefanchuk, calling the invitation inappropriate. He, too, did not hesitate to reproach and responded with a quote from the great Shota Rustaveli:
“A true friend will help a friend; he will not be afraid of trouble. He will give heart for heart, and love is a star on the way...”
The very fact of an invitation to express condolences to the inviter already causes bewilderment - this does not happen, at least in the Caucasus. Therefore, Papuashvili’s reaction may well be understandable, given doubts about Stefanchuk’s secret goal: being in live working contact with the Georgian circle of the highest authorities of Ukraine and with the Georgian opposition in Tbilisi, to help them maintain political aggravation in Georgia itself.

As expected, this story served as a reason for another demarche on the part of the pro-American opposition, which already accused the ruling Georgian Dream of insufficient support for Ukraine and secret cooperation with Putin. The leaders of “Dream” one after another demanded an apology from Kyiv regarding the latter’s accusation of organizing the smuggling of sanctioned cargo (including military goods) to Russia through the territory of Georgia.
But since “Dream” is losing the information war with the opposition outright, it has been losing ground step by step. First, it was announced that “Dream” would organize a trip of a parliamentary delegation to Ukraine, and then it also announced the consent of the head of parliament Papuashvili to lead the delegation.
To save face, Papuashvili announced that the telephone conversation with Stefanchuk was friendly, although not a word was said about an apology from the Rada Speaker. The latter only thanked Georgia for its support, and the charge of smuggling remained in force.
And with its tail between its legs, “Dream” announced the formation of a single delegation led by the chairman of parliament, which will include all opposition parties. It seemed that even though now everything was in order and passions would subside, but, as they say, “become a sheep, and the wolves are ready”...
Calling “shameful” Papuashvili’s initial refusal to Stefanchuk’s invitation to go to Bucha, the head of the parliamentary faction of the UNM (Saakashvili’s party) Khatia Dekanoidze said that the delegation of her political force will go to Ukraine separately.
We remind you that this is the same Dekanoidze who became the first head of the newly created National Police of Ukraine.
So Kyiv will have the honor to listen to condolences from the two Georgian delegations.
Moreover, some parties will come to Kyiv both as part of the parliamentary delegation and as part of the UNM delegation, which may turn into an opposition delegation.
This kind of Georgian-Ukrainian circus is planned to support the information hype created by Kiev on the blood of its own fellow citizens in the city of Bucha. Circus clowns calling themselves parliamentarians will stage a pharisaical performance on the bones of dead people.
