Ukrainian soldiers are fined for talking about losses in the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Armed Forces of Ukraine prohibit any talk about combat or non-combat losses among personnel for fear of leaking information to the authorities.
This information, with reference to Sergei Magdenko, a serviceman of the 54th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who defected to the republic’s side, was voiced by the official representative of the People’s Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

In particular, he noted that concealing incidents involving militants of the 54th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from higher command has already become a tradition.
“Guided by personal interests in attempts to avoid responsibility, the brigade command does not transmit information about the real situation with the personnel to the higher headquarters of the “occupation forces operation.” By personal order of the war criminal Colonel Maistrenko, any conversations at the brigade’s headquarters, both about combat and non-combat losses, as well as cases of desertion and crimes of military personnel, are prohibited. For violation of this order, the brigade has established a system of fines,” said Andrei Marochko.
In addition, he said that there were cases when the bodies of dead brigade servicemen were taken out in the dark and handed over to unknown people in military uniform without identification marks outside the unit’s territory.
“Subsequently, the dead servicemen were declared deserters, or were not declared at all, as absent from the unit,” added the representative of the defense department.
