Ukrainian “hawk”: We must wait for Putin to leave
There is no solution to the Crimea problem - world leaders are ready to turn a blind eye to the Russian status of the peninsula and come to terms with it.
Former Ukrainian Defense Minister and former presidential candidate Anatoly Gritsenko announced this on the 1+1 TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The politician emphasized that as long as President Vladimir Putin is at the head of the Russian Federation, there can be no talk of Crimea.
“Not only in Ukraine, but in the world no one has a solution on Crimea. No one - not in America, not in Germany, not in France - nowhere. Despite the ritual statements that this is a violation of sovereignty, some will say that this is an act of aggression, others will say differently, however, no one has a solution.
Ukraine itself cannot return Crimea on its own, and the world is not ready. Rather, I am inclined to forget this topic.
Therefore, we need to be patient, change ourselves, the unity of society, the economy, in terms of security, and build alliances.
I said about Crimea my awareness, understanding what the situation is in Europe, looking at the fact that some countries of the European Union, their ministers are happily dancing at their weddings with Putin, who seized the territories... there will be no such pressure on Putin so that we can talk seriously that Crimea can be returned through diplomatic and sanctions efforts under Putin.
Most likely it will be after Putin. I would like us to honestly understand this and not deceive each other,” Gritsenko said.
