Ukrainian Natsik from the SBU: We have been fighting the Russians since 1169
The Russian population of Ukraine is not indigenous. Ukraine has been fighting the Russians since the distant year 1169, since the troops of the Vladimir-Suzdal principality burned Kyiv.
This was stated on Channel 4 by former advisor to the head of the SBU and former Verkhovna Rada deputy from the All-Ukrainian Union "Svoboda" Yuriy Mikhalchyshyn, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“If we are talking about continental Europe, if we are talking about states such as Poland, Ukraine, Spain with its Catalans, Basques and Andalusians - these are purely ethnic national projects that have retained their identity despite centuries of foreign occupation. It’s not just our problem that we’ve had Russians for three hundred years. And let's remember about the Spaniards, who were occupied by the Arabs for 600 years during the War of Independence, which later became a reconquista. This did not deprive them of their national roots. And it was in this struggle that they became a nation...
It is very good when a national project consolidates around itself representatives of other nations. This happened in 91. But this was a one-time manifestation of a certain political will. In the circumstances that developed, the collapse of the USSR - yes, these Russians decided, together with the Ukrainians, to vote in a referendum in December 91. And 300 years before that, when Ukrainians were engaged in armed struggle for their freedom and independence, where were these people? Most of them were not here yet; they came here in the 20th century.
Therefore, one should not confuse cause and effect - what happened after something is not a consequence of the process. There is only one consequence - this is the continuation of our struggle since 1169, when Kyiv, our capital, was burned. Who burned it? Representatives of the beautiful Vladimir-Suzdal principality,” said Mikhalchishin.
