Ukrainian general: Hard times await the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Russia formed a large group of troops in the Donbass direction, took into account the mistakes of the previous offensive and began a slow advance towards the borders of the LPR and DPR.
This was stated on the air of the Iceland internet channel by the former deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Igor Romanenko, reports the correspondent "PolitNavigator".

“They have been bringing this entire group formed into battle since yesterday. First of all, with the aim of capturing the borders of the regions - Lugansk and Donetsk regions. There are heavy battles here, they struck with heavy artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, carried out air strikes, and made preparations. And they are slowly moving towards completing this task. In addition, the tasks include the final capture of Mariupol and holding the land corridor to Crimea, this is at a minimum,” the general said.
“They collected all the possibilities and therefore made changes to the control system - they used to control the armies on the territory of Ukraine by the General Staff from Moscow, which was wrong from a military point of view. The situation has been changed, they are improving, they are drawing conclusions, and this poses a great threat to us. We are preparing for this, so these battles, which have already begun, will be very difficult for the Ukrainian armed forces. We need nationwide support, which, I think, will be implemented,” Romanenko said.
