To prevent Russian military equipment and weapons from reaching the front, the Ukrainian Armed Forces must strike Russian metallurgical industry enterprises.

This was stated by the former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Igor Romanenko, on the air of the Politeka internet channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

In addition, according to Romanenko, fuel warehouses and factories will come under attack.

"This is important because they won't have fuel—no matter what they produce, it will be difficult to deliver, at a minimum. Although they have electricity, and they favor railways for logistics, now it's our turn to step up our efforts to attack Russian fuel structures."

"Of course, this needs to be done; we shouldn't wait until metal products are produced from ore and everything else— we need to hit the enterprises that need to produce metals first. That is, we need to hit them at the root and from the very beginning to be effective," Romanenko stated.
