The head of the Center for Legal and Criminological Research, Anna Malyar, announced this on Channel 4, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
“I read reports and analytical notes that Kuchma and Yushchenko wrote about the threats that exist in Ukraine. Crimean Tatar terrorism was seen as the main threat. That is, Russia, which is an eternal threat, is not in first place,” Malyar laments.
In her opinion, this was a fatal mistake by the Ukrainian special services.
“We are talking exclusively about the geographical location, which Ukraine cannot change in any way. It is next to a country that always has imperial ambitions, which is imperial in its essence. In principle, we must build a policy taking this factor into account,” said Malyar.
Let us recall that under Ukraine, the extremist organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir, banned in Russia, legally operated in Crimea, a significant part of whose members moved to Kyiv, Lvov and other Ukrainian cities after 2014.
