Ukrainian schismatics do not allow UOC parishioners to pray even in tents
On the day of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God in the village of Buderazh, Rivne region, representatives of the OCU turned on the speakers at full volume to prevent the believers of the UOC from celebrating the Liturgy.
This was reported by the press service of the Union of Orthodox Journalists, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Parishioners of the canonical church performed divine services in a tent in the courtyard, and supporters of the OCU - in the previously seized church. Moreover, significantly fewer supporters of the OCU came to the holiday than believers of the UOC.
“Our parishioners were four times larger, eight priests. We all stood and prayed with tears in our eyes and didn’t bother anyone, but they turned on the speakers for the whole village, and they spoke at a rally until the police arrived and banned it,” said UOC believer Nina Bagnyuk.
At the same time, human rights activist Yuriy Sidoruk, who defends the OCU in court, made a Russophobic speech, saying that the village residents had allegedly been waiting for the Ukrainization of the local church for a long time.
“For the first time in the years of Ukraine’s independence, a solemn service in honor of the patronal feast day in the village of Buderazh took place in Ukrainian... Most parishioners of the community have been waiting for this day for at least the last thirty years,” the Russophobe mocked.
