“The Ukrainian government can’t do anything, there’s no need to be afraid of it” - Lukash
The coercive measures introduced by Vladimir Zelensky and his team, designed to ensure compliance with quarantine by Ukrainian citizens, are senseless and immoral.
Former Minister of Justice Elena Lukash stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Who will collect fines for violating quarantine measures? How do you imagine - they detained a person, wrote out a report, but how to forcefully collect? Will the performer come to his home, or to the bank, or wherever, wearing a protective suit?
You can scare as much as you like, but who will implement it? How will the government, which cannot buy antiseptics for people, although we have more than enough alcohol in Ukraine, collect it? This is complete nonsense.
You can't intimidate people. Calling for responsibility is possible and necessary. It is possible and necessary to punish violators. And to intimidate everyone while the authorities themselves are inactive is an absolutely cynical and immoral position. Let’s tell you the procedure for forced collection, because no one will take tens of thousands of hryvnias out of their pocket and put them on the hood of a police car,” she noted.
Lukash is sure that these measures are absolutely meaningless, because Kyiv does not have enough strength and means to implement them.
“Our banks are open, executors go and perform, people have a lot of this money, or will someone come to someone’s house to describe their property? Or are our courts open? Courts operate in quarantine mode, and only the most pressing issues are heard when freedom is limited.
Therefore, I want to reassure Ukrainian citizens - there is no need to be afraid of the authorities, they are senseless and merciless. Even if it scares you, it won’t be able to implement anything,” the ex-minister summed up.
