Simferopol, March 16 (Navigator, Astra Yazyka) – The Ukrainian hryvnia will stop circulating in Crimea from January 1, 2016 – the local parliament made a corresponding decision today.

According to the adopted resolution, the official monetary unit (currency) of the Republic of Crimea is the Russian ruble, and until January 1, 2016, the official currency, in accordance with Article 48 of the Temporary Regulations, will be the Ukrainian hryvnia.

The hryvnia will stop circulating on January 1, 2016, deputies clarified.
