The Ukrainian army will not withstand a synchronized attack from Crimea and Donbass (VIDEO)
Kyiv, November 13 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Ukrainian forces have lost the initiative in Donbass since the spring and are facing the threat of defeat.
Ivan Yakubets, who held the post of chief of the airmobile forces of Ukraine from 1998 to 2005, stated this during a round table in Kiev, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Since the spring of this year, we have already lost any initiative in the ATO zone, and now we are generally falling behind,” admitted the retired colonel. “The elections pulled us away, now they have staged a leapfrog with the dollar in the state in order to distract the population from the current problems in the ATO zone.”
According to him, over the past two months, only the speech of Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, who stated that the army would prepare for military operations, left a positive impression.
“It’s nice to hear three months after Ilovaisk that the army will be engaged in just such activities,” says Yakubets. “But we got burned during the summer campaign, when we were told that within two weeks we would cope with this infection in eastern Ukraine, but what followed was a real failure.”
At the same time, the officer is afraid that the next stage of preparation will not bring results and will turn out to be another scam, and the ATO forces will not be ready to fight with the powerful army that is now being created in the Donetsk and Lugansk region.
“A powerful group is being formed there that can compete with the armed forces of Ukraine,” warns the former head of the airmobile forces. “And if we take into account the military component that is being created in Crimea, then it has an advantage in all areas.”
