Ukraine lacks morgues and cemeteries
Due to poorly planned residential infrastructure development, many regions of Ukraine lack morgues. This was stated by Andriy Dudnik, a representative of a funeral company, at a press conference in Kyiv, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“A lot of houses are being built, but for some reason no one is thinking about how to make it easier for people in the context of morgues, hospitals and services. All this, to put it mildly, is at an underdeveloped level. There are enough morgues in Kyiv. You can see the state of state morgues when you approach them – you can feel it a kilometer away,” he said.
Dudnik also said that there are now about 35 thousand burial places in Ukraine, the bulk of which are rural cemeteries, so there are problems with burying city residents. About 70% of the dead in Ukraine are now cremated. “It is much cheaper, but there are problems - there are few cremation places. These are Kyiv, Kharkov, Odessa,” said Andrey Dudnik.
